Reads and Thoughts

Ola! I'm one of those crazy girls who is overly addictive to books and reading. I'm weird around books and tends to read them abnormally fast. And I'm a hopeful romantic who is a firm believer of Happily Ever Afters.
Delirium - Lauren Oliver In this new world, the society believed that love is a disease known as Amor Deliria Nervosa, but the lab people of this society already find the cure. A cure wherein all citizens must submit to, just after their eighteenth birthday in order to prevent the spread of the disease and to save lives for the government brainwashed its citizens that love not only causes disturbances and weird behavior it surely lead people to death.

Lena wholeheartedly believes in this procedure and is counting down the days until her own one. But Amor Deliria Nervosa seems to have a mind of its own when Lena met Alex. Love for Lena is wrong and unnatural and gaining the cure would ensure her peace and stability and will eventually prevent her from dying, but something inside her seems to scream something, How can something feel so right when she knows that is considered deadly wrong?

Let me start this off by saying that the premise of this book really catches me and my wicked attention. When I first read its synopsis as to love being a disease it definitely makes me curious. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book right until the very end. The start of the story is a bit slow for me, nothing really is happening aside from Lena talking about this and that, but once I hit the part where I know something big is building up to it and I'm getting pretty much hooked to it, I just couldn't put it down anymore until I finished reading it. And as I'm reading those high parts of the story, I find myself feeling a deliria taking over me and I could really feel my heart racing and I'm really getting into it. okay, so I kinda stay up until 3 in the morning just to finish it, since I can't really get to sleep because I'm thinking about what would happen next and my heart is still racing and God! I'm such a weirdo! haha

Lena and Hannah. These two really compliments each other and their friendship is so beautiful. It has its own ups and down but in the end, they would still be there for each other.

Lena and Alex. Their realationship definitely steals my heart. :"> I find their relationship to be so powerful yet seems a little bit tragic for me and it makes me want to find a way for them to always see each other. Their love for one other was very intese and very gripping. I just have a little issue reagrding these two, it's just not that clear to me as to why Alex like Lena. Not, that Lena isnt likeable and all, but it lacks a little side of Alex and it makes me want to see things on his perspective. Though the attraction between two was clearly seen, I just wanted to see more depth to it and find the source of this certain attraction between these two.

The Ending. Talk about EXTREME, BIG & KILLER CLIFFHANGER!!. It was pretty intense and it really makes my heart jump imagining them running and crossing the boundary thing. As it ends, I also feel my heart clenched thinking how these two would continue their journey.

In all, Delirium is a very interesting story with its unique and premise and strong characters. I really wanted to read more from this! From the world Lena lived and to the Wild. It was one of the most unforgettable and unptdownable reads for me.

Would I read Pandemonium? Yes! Of course I definitely would.
