Devon Zemaitis is all fame, money and status until she died. All of her belongings from her signatured shoes and bags up to every important material things on her life was left. She also left a couple of people who are kinda
imporatant to her life like her parents, husband and baby girl. Why did she died? Well, her car was hit by a Garbage Truck
, how funny and lonesome for it to say that she died because of a dump truck. Anyway, upon dying she finds herself caught up in-between
heaven and earth
and she can't go directly to heaven cause she has done something bad or worse while living that broke another persons' belief and heart...
Adele Harris already have enough. She has been suffering from lousy dates for 3 years that she is sure that she is cursed cause why else would every man she goes out with suddenly act like he's lost his mind and begins to act like a jerk which Adele feels bad about? Taking a break from the dating world, she decided to go back to her hometown and give her sister a shoulder to cry on because her sister's marriage was on the rocks, she is pregnant and her husband decided to elope with his secretary named Stormy Winter
(pretty name i should say though kinda sounded like a pornstar name.haha
.) Her stay on her hometown is planned out to be good until she run into Zach Zemaitis, the one who got away from her life and heart.
Zach Zemaitis was a famous football player eversince his college days, now he was a coach on a High-school where his daughter was studying. Yes, he is Devon's husband and Adele's secret man in college.
I could say that this is one of those stories that would grip with you till the end. The pacing of the story was pretty fast that you would not notice that you're already half-way through it. It would really be hard to put down for there are many revelations and twists. The character's profile is pretty good! It's a good thing that the chracters already know each other but they are all just separated by time. It was a delightfully wacky and hilarious story and the scenes that would make your eyes well with tears..just oh!
I'm really looking forward for more Rachel Gibson reads. :)
